For the Meatloaf:
1 ½ lbs ground beef
1 egg
1 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
⅓ cup minced onion
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp Snider’s Dixie BBQ Seasoning
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ cup milk
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
For the BBQ Glaze:
½ cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite)
1 tbsp Dixie BBQ Seasoning
½ tbsp brown sugar (optional for a touch of sweetness)
INSTRUCTIONS
Make the Meatloaf:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Dixie BBQ Seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, milk, Dijon mustard (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Mix the ingredients together until just combined (don’t overmix).
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased or lined baking dish.
Make the BBQ Glaze:
- In a small bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, Dixie BBQ Seasoning, and honey or brown sugar (if using).
- Stir until fully combined.
Bake the Meatloaf:
- Brush half of the BBQ glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F and is fully cooked through.
Final Glaze:
- During the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the remaining BBQ glaze over the meatloaf for extra flavor.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Serve:
- Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
